Hyundai Machinery Ind. is Jeju’s representative company for developing and exporting marine engines, generators, and other industrial engines. Where the manufacturing business only composes of 2.3% due to the strict management system of Jeju, with the basis of having certifications such as ISO 9001 and 14001, Hyundai Machinery has grown to become an international marine engine exporter to over 40 countries.

Currently the company’s major products are marine propulsion engine sets (68ps-500ps, total: nine models), generating sets (15KW-397KW, total: nine models), diesel engines for agricultural- industrial applications (40ps-500ps total: nine models), etc. The product ‘Marine engine oil pack’ is being exported worldwide to countries such as Singapore, Spain, Portugal, Vietnam, Canada, Egypt, Chile, South Africa, Russia, etc. and earning certifications and the Prime Minister Award for their outstanding technology. The ‘Marine Propulsion Engine Set’ is used for fishing boats, cargo boats, passenger vessels, etc., and is a product of excellent quality that does not lag behind products from large corporations as seen by the approval given by KST (Korea National Institute of Ship Safety & Technology).
