Eco-Friendly Electric Cargo Bike

[INQ. NO. 2308M11] Eccov Inc. is a start-up spun off from Hyundai Motor Group’s in-house venture in 2019, and has been developing next micro mobility vehicles and parts based on its aiming with ‘Mobility Justice.’
Eccov has been developing electric cargo bikes as a category of next-generation, eco-friendly micro mobility applicable to last mile delivery based on its own technology developed through its R&D capabilities engaged in the automobile industry.
Eccov is presenting Eccov Modular Platform Architecture (EMPA) specialized for the purpose of use by customers through changing the format of the body and loading specifications to enable the conversion of the existing supplier-oriented manufacturing and supply system into a consumer-oriented one.

Purpose-based transportation means through customization
EMPA is a purpose-based vehicle means through a dedicated body and parts composition optimized for universal use in 2-wheel, 3-wheel, and 4-wheel types, and a platform deck with a structure specialized for individual use and customized loading box.
Eccov’s electric cargo bike, EMPA, has the advantages of production, quality control, and follow-up management. The bike is disassembled into sub- assembly units and delivered to the customer through SKD type of delivery with reduced volume. After delivery, the customer can assemble it on their own without the need for specialized equipment and manpower.

Realization of durability suitable for heavy cargo or human transportation
Through the stamping process of high-strength steel plate, which is the same as the world’s first automotive structural material and its production method, it is suitable for heavy transportation compared to aluminum frames based on free body shape design, mass- production system, and uniform quality level. It thus achieved automotive-level quality by realizing durability.
By installing HL Mando’s pedal assist system drive and removing the chain, it is easy to maintain and maximizes the space utilization of the chassis, while providing excellent steering stability with a low-phase type.
Equipped with a dedicated high-power motor, it is possible to drive 80 to 120 km on a single charge through a maximum 300kg level of cargo traction and a removable battery.
