[INQ. NO. 2406M13] NuriFlex Co., Ltd., an Internet of Things (IoT) platform specialist for energy, participated in Enlit Africa 2024, held in Cape Town, South Africa, in May this year.
At this exhibition, NuriFlex introduced an artificial intelligence (AI)-based power-theft management system and an online prepaid AMI solution to power agencies in African countries that are struggling with energy-loss problems due to illegal electricity-use and aging equipment, and held business meetings.

The power-theft management system that NuriFlex introduced is equipped with AI-based deep learning artificial intelligence functions to learn on its own and analyze data. This is a solution that monitors and reports illegal electricity-use and abnormal energy-loss 24 hours per day. This power-theft management system can detect the power theft just with software (SW), without needing any additional equipment, because the computer collects electricity usage data, learns on its own, and responds when it detects abnormal patterns.
At this exhibition, NuriFlex was the only AMI company to exhibit an AI-based power-theft monitoring solution. It is reported that each power agency and private developers who are struggling with energy losses, including illegal electricity use, showed great interest in this power-theft management solution. It is evaluated as essential technology especially for the African market.
The CEO of NuriFlex explained, “We have been working hard to develop the African AMI market for the past 10 years, and as part of that, we have been continuously participating in African exhibitions since last year,” adding, “Based on our business experience in Ghana and Ethiopia, we are now focusing on developing markets in Southern and West Africa, including South Africa, the largest market in Africa.”
