Collaborative Robots

[INQ. NO. 2407M17] Collaborative robots used in manufacturing sites are characterized by operating in the same space with humans, unlike general robots, and thus increasing the efficiency of manufacturing sites.
In particular, as the load that collaborative robots can carry has recently increased to 30kg, their utility in the field is expected to expand even further.
Electrix Co., Ltd. recently introduced universal robots’ collaborative robot ‘UR30’ at a local exhibition.
This collaborative robot is capable of a payload of 30kg, and has a working radius of 1,300 mm.
UR30 is a product that changes the perception that existing collaborative robots can only lift a low maximum weight, and UR30 can provide machine tending for large machines and high-weight palletizing systems.

A spokesperson for the company explained, “Collaborative robots are being used for small-quantity, multi-variety production due to their safety, flexibility in installation, and easy programming,” and added, “Compared to the Americas and Europe, where collaborative robots are widely used, Korea has stricter regulations on safety certification, so if these policies are relaxed a little, the market will grow even more.”
