While researching catalysts for removing global warming gases and renewable energy at Korea’s Institute for Advanced Engineering, the CEO of OOL discovered that the vacuum roasting of coffee eliminates carbon dioxide emissions and minimizes the production of carcinogens, which thus led his company to develop a vacuum coffee roaster.
The company has since patented the vacuum coffee roaster in Korea, the USA, Japan, and Europe.
Furthermore, recognizing the environmental and health concerns surrounding coffee capsule, the company developed a hand-drip robot with the convenience of coffee capsule, making healthy and delicious coffee accessible either at home or the office.
Vacuum Coffee Roaster
This machine roasts green coffee beans in a vacuum environment, free of oxygen and nitrogen. It roasts both the inside and outside of the beans at the same rate, thereby preventing burns. This machine eliminates the need for piping and smoke extraction, which are common with conventional roasters. Like electronic appliances, it can be used immediately after purchase. The absence of a burnt taste allows you to enjoy the natural flavor of the coffee.

Vacuum-Roasted Drip Bag Coffee
Vacuum-roasted drip bag coffee is vacuum-packed. This is possible because the coffee beans are not exposed to gases like oxygen or nitrogen during the vacuum roasting process. This allows for superior preservation of the coffee’s flavor and aroma, and is also better for the environment than coffee capsule.
Vacuum-roasted coffee contains approximately four times more chlorogenic acid, an antioxidant, than conventional coffee ― and minimizes acrylamide, a carcinogen produced during roasting, making it a healthy and environmentally friendly coffee.

Hand-Drip Robot
Drip coffee requires consumers to boil water and repeatedly pour a set amount of water over the coffee, which can be inconvenient. This process, especially when done manually, results in a different taste each time. Therefore, OOL decided that a robot was necessary. OOL’s hand-drip robot automatically drops drip bag coffee.
Coffee consumption has shifted to home cafes and offices, accelerated by the use of capsule machines and coffee capsule.

“We develop and sell machines that address the environmental and health concerns inherent in coffee capsule, making it easier to drink coffee in an eco-friendly manner. Making espresso using capsules extracts the oils in the coffee, making it unsuitable for those with cholesterol issues or hyperlipidemia. However, our robot-controlled drip-type extraction doesn’t extract coffee oils, resulting in healthier and more delicious coffee,” explained the company’s CEO.
