With the global trend toward faster and higher-performance ships, the need for shipbuilding research is increasing.
Since 1996, Wonbang Forcetech Co., Ltd. has been manufacturing water-tank testing research equipment for high-value-added ships, high-tech vessels, and defense-related underwater vehicles for nearly 30 years.
Various experiments in cavitation tunnels and towing tanks are essential for developing high-performance ships and underwater vehicles. The company’s research equipment, particularly shown in underwater experiments, ensures perfect watertightness and produces precise and stable data.
POW Dynamometer
This research equipment measures the performance of propellers, the propulsion systems of model ships, and underwater vehicles. It is primarily used to measure propeller performance independently of the hull, precisely measuring propeller thrust, torque, and rotational speed.
It is custom-designed and manufactured to suit the tank environment, and the measurement range can also be customized to meet customer requirements.

Multi-component Force Transducer
This sensor precisely measures forces and movements in various directions. Customized designs are available for multi-axis configurations ranging from one to six axes, and all sensors can be manufactured waterproof for underwater use.
The most significant feature of the multi-component force transducer is its ability to be custom-made to meet customer requirements, including axis direction, capacity, and dimensions.
Wonbang Forcetech’s major clients include Korea’s three major shipbuilding companies, major university research institutes related to shipbuilding, and national research institutes. Its overseas achievements include exporting various dynamometers to Turkey (ITU, Roketsan A.Ş, TR-test), Taiwan (National Taiwan University), Germany, and India (IIT, pre-delivery orders accepted).
