Globoid Worm Gear
ZAM Tech’s globoid worm gears can achieve more than three-times the number of simultaneous claw ― compared to cylindrical worm gears.
This product improves the contact area by varying the inclination angle of the tooth surface. Compared to cylindrical worm gears, this product reduces center distance by more than 30%, and significantly reduces weight. This gear reduces temperature-rise and wear due to reduced pressure on the unit surface.
While conventional worm gears, such as Hindley and Lorentz types, require modification to align the worm wheel center to achieve the appropriate contact area, this product achieves the appropriate contact area without modification. Furthermore, the appropriate gap between the inlets ensures high reliability against sand burning.
