MARUSYS, founded in 2017, is an industrial control and measurement company with eight years of experience.
MARUSYS supplies partial discharge monitoring equipment that remotely monitors generators and large motors at power plants for discharges due to poor insulation, and manufactures and supplies equipment that controls vacuum pumps by checking the vacuum state of vacuum chambers, for example in LG Display’s production lines.
Launching an Robot for Collecting Golf Balls
Leveraging its accumulated hardware and software expertise, MARUSYS has launched an autonomous driving robot that collects balls from outdoor golf practice ranges.
Its remote-controlled golf ball collection robot, GolfBoy, was launched two years ago and is currently experiencing growing demand.
GolfBoy is a remotely controlled machine that collects golf balls from outdoor golf practice ranges. This machine moves at speeds of up to 1.5 meters per second.
It can be used for two hours after charging for about one hour.

It can collect 2,000 square meters in about 20 minutes.
It weighs approximately 60 kg and boasts an IPx2 waterproof rating. The robot can contribute to uninterrupted practice during collection, thus minimizing customer inconvenience.
Uninterrupted operation increases the turnover of the batter’s box, resulting in increased sales. By increasing the number of daily collections, the number of uncollected balls can be reduced, resulting in cost savings.
The GolfBoy fairway is optimized for driving ranges with artificial grass. Alarm functions include a return detection alarm and a low battery alarm.
Using this golf ball collection robot enhances the appearance of the practice range. Its waterproof design allows for use in rainy weather, and its fall-prevention sensor prevents balls from falling into the collection channel. Its special squeegee prevents balls from falling out, even on undulations. Shock absorption minimizes ball bounce.
“We pride ourselves on creating market-leading, remote-controlled golf ball collection robots that are easy to operate and user-friendly. We will continue with our creative efforts to upgrade the current robot, and develop new version of robots with more innovative functions,” explained the company’s CEO.
