https://korean-machinery.com///inquiry

[INQ. NO. 2610M02] Alpha FN-Tec’s self-standing evaporative humidifier is an ultra-energy-efficient, innovative product capable of saving over 80% of power compared to conventional electrode or heated humidifiers.
By adopting an evaporative method that utilizes extremely fine humidification particles, it features exceptional stability, ensuring that no dew condensation occurs — even when installed adjacent to computer equipment or precision-production machinery sensitive to dew condensation. It also precisely controls optimal indoor-humidity levels.
Furthermore, the natural evaporative cooling effect generated during the interaction of water and air through the humidification media lowers indoor temperatures and reduces the cooling load on the HVAC system.

Simultaneously, it integrates a clean purification function that adsorbs and removes fine dust and airborne particulate matters.
Unlike products from its competitors, it features an integrated design that combines the following into a single platform: the evaporative humidification element, fully automatic water purification system, leak prevention system, and remote-control circuit. Its differentiated strength lies in its ability to enable stable, smart operation even in environments where a manager is not present on-site.
The air conditioner evaporative humidifier being exhibited alongside it is a product that completely overcomes the limitations of steam and electrode-type spray humidifiers — such as excessive energy consumption, maintenance issues, and component failure.

Electric Vehicles in Great Demand

https://korean-machinery.com///inquiry

Boosting Tire Sales

Hankook Tire with its dedicated brand, ‘iON’
Kumho Tire, customized-development with Renault
Nexen Tire with universal ‘one-tire’ strategy

Hankook Tire & Technology, Kumho Tire, and Nexen Tire are extending their technologies accumulated in electric vehicles (EVs) to include hybrid vehicles, thus enhancing their competitiveness in products for electrified vehicles.
According to the Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association (KAMA), the number of newly registered EVs in South Korea in the first half of this year reached 198,509, a sharp increase of 113.6% compared to the same period last year. The share of EVs among all new cars has risen to 23.3%. Meanwhile, hybrid vehicles accounted for 289,814 units, representing 34.1% of the total new car market.
The growing number of EVs on the roads is generating new demand in the tire market. EVs are equipped with large-capacity batteries, so they are heavier than their internal combustion engine counterparts due to their large-capacity batteries, and their motors deliver high torque instantaneously.

Hybrid vehicles are also heavier than standard internal combustion models due to the added battery and motor. Tires for these vehicles must handle the initial driving force of electric motors while simultaneously ensuring fuel efficiency, ride comfort and quietness.
Hankook Tire is targeting the market with iON, its brand dedicated to EVs. The iON line incorporates specialized technologies designed to address the unique characteristics of EVs, such as heavy loads, high torque, tir3e noise, and rapid tread wear. The company is now expanding the technology and supply experience gained from providing original equipment tires for global EVs, including the Porsche Taycan, BMW i4, i5, and iX, and Qudi Q4 e-tron, to hybrid vehicles.
Kumho Tire is pursuing a strategy to extend the high-load, low-noise technologies secured through Enovv, which was originally developed for its dedicated EV brand, to its general product lines. The specialized high-load design applied in Enovv can withstand greater vehicle weight while maintaining the same air pressure.
Kumho Tire supplies 20-inch tires for Renault Korea’s hybrid models, the Grand Koleos and the Filante.
Nexen Tire is strengthening its ‘one-tire’ strategy, which does not distinguish between EVs and internal combustion engine vehicles. This strategy applies performance characteristics required by EVs, such as high load capacity, high torque, and low noise, to general vehicles as standard features and awards the ‘EV Route’ mark to those that satisfy specific criteria.

Korea’s Aug. Exports Rise to US$ 98.25 Billion

https://korean-machinery.com///inquiry

Marking the third-highest figure on record

Korea’s exports in August totaled $98.25 billion, a 68.7% increase compared to the same month last year. This marks the third-highest figure on record, following this year’s record-breaking figures in June ($102 billion) and July ($99 billion). Meanwhile, the trade surplus reached $34.75 billion, exceeding $30 billion for the third consecutive month. The cumulative surplus from January to August stands at $202.5 billion.
Semiconductor exports amounted to $46.65 billion, accounting for 47.5% of the total. This represents a 209% increase from the same month last year, setting a new all-time record. This is attributed to the exponential demand for artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure, driven by expanded capital investment by hyperscalers such as Google and Amazon.

Other information technology (IT) items also showed strong performances. Exports of storage devices for data centers are a prime example. Computer exports surged by 419.5% to $6.24 billion, marking an all-time monthly record with the sharp increase in exports of enterprise SSDs — which are statistically classified as computer items — and the prices of NAND flash memory, a key component, also rose.
Wireless communication devices ($1.88 billion, up 21.2%) also grew for the tenth consecutive month, driven by sales of new products such as the Samsung Galaxy S26.
Exports of 14 out of the top 20 major items increased. However, some major items saw a decline due to temporary factors. Automobile exports amounted to only $3.85 billion, down 29.8% from the same month last year. This was due to a combination of base effects resulting from the shift in summer vacation timing, partial strikes, and the growing trend toward local production in the United States. Ship exports also fell 45.9% to $1.69 billion as delivery volumes decreased.
By region, there were increases in seven out of Korea’s nine major export markets. Exports to China ($24.1 billion) and the United States ($16.5 billion) increased by 119.3% and 89.3%, respectively, driven by semiconductors and computers. Computer exports to the USA surged by a massive 1,040%.
A spokesperson for the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy explained, “It is a positive sign that our export base is expanding, as strong semiconductor exports continue to lead the way, while exports of non-semiconductor items are also recording a high growth rate of 20%,” adding, “The government will not rest on its laurels based on the current export boom, and we will closely monitor the impact of changes in the global trade environment on the exports of our companies.”
