Automobile Air Conditioning System Parts

https://korean-machinery.com///inquiry

[INQ. NO. 2503M03] KOR.E International Co., Ltd. is a trading company specializing in exporting and manufacturing the parts for automobile air conditioning systems. Its main export destinations are located in Europe including Italy, Germany, Spain and Poland, as well as Asian countries such as Singapore, India, Vietnam, Malaysia and Taiwan.
KOR.E International also exports its products to the Middle East (Saudi Arabia), Africa (Egypt, Algeria), Latin America (Brazil, Columbia, Panama, Chile), etc.
The company’s exports are finished products and various parts such as air conditioning systems and auto spare parts. It is exporting brazing equipment which is a production facility of A/C condensers, evaporators and radiators out of the air conditioning parts.

Clients include Doowon Corporation, KB Auto-Tech, Daihan Calsonic Co., Ltd. and MACS (Mobile Air Conditioning Society) members in the USA as dealer contractors and export license agreement businesses for purchased products. Its main exports are condensers, compressors, evaporators, hoses & pipes, and filters for automobile air conditioners, radiators for automobile engines, and auto spare parts.
The A/C condenser is located in the very front of the automobile engine room and serves to cool the high-temperature, high-pressure air-conditioner refrigerant delivered from the compressor and to convert it into the liquid-state refrigerant.
The compressor is powered by the engine of the automobile and repeats the process of sucking, compressing and circulating the refrigerant. The compressor compresses the refrigerant in the low-pressure gas state, changes it into the high-temperature, high-pressure gas state, sends it to the condenser, sucks the refrigerant in the evaporator and evaporates it to perform a cooling function.
The evaporator changes the low-temperature, low-pressure refrigerant in the wet saturated steam state into gas (superheated steam) by heat exchange with indoor and outdoor air of the automobile. The air that has lost its heat is changed into a low-temperature, low-humidity condition, and this air is discharged to the inside of the vehicle by a blower to keep the indoor environment of the car comfortable.
The hose and pipe act as a passageway conveying the refrigerant of the air conditioning system. As the radiator absorbs the heat generated by the car engine, the temperature of the warmed coolant gets lowered while it passes through the radiator. The cooled coolant then flows back into the engine and cools the engine. And this process is repeated. The radiator is a heat exchanger that allows the car engine to maintain a reasonable temperature by cooling the warmed coolant.

Power Supply Units for Electric Vehicle Chargers

https://korean-machinery.com///inquiry

[INQ. NO. 2503M01] AHA Co., Ltd. recently announced that its 30kW power supply unit (PSU) for electric vehicle (EV) chargers, the first of its kind in Korea, has received UL certification. Through this, the company has secured a bridgehead for entering the U.S. market.
While Korean companies’ EV-charging infrastructure product lines are gaining prominence in the global EVC markets, PSUs, the core equipment of electric vehicle chargers, are still heavily dependent on Chinese products.
Since PSUs are expensive components, the Korean PSUs obtaining UL certification is all the more significant amid the recent U.S.-China trade dispute.
AHA’s 30kW PSU combines multiple low-power PSUs to provide a wide output voltage range of 300V to 1000V DC, and a maximum current of 100A. By applying power factor correction (PFC) technology, the product has achieved high efficiency of up to 96% and low standby power, and its patented PSU address auto-setting technology enables rapid diagnosis and replacement in the event of a failure.
AHA’s 30kW PSU was finally selected as a verification test product for the Ministry of Environment’s research project to strengthen the competitiveness of electric vehicle rapid charger PSUs conducted last year. It passed the Energy Star efficiency, reliability, and safety tests set by the Ministry of Environment, verifying its excellent performance.
Based on this success, AHA applied for slow chargers and fast chargers at the same time for the business operator selection contest of the 2025 charging facility subsidy payment project, and is currently waiting for the results.
AHA has invested more than KRW 1 billion in slow & fast chargers and PSU automatic inspection and durability test equipment, and is aiming to develop a 40kW PSU and a 480kW power bank by the end of 2025. After moving the R&D center to Magok-dong, Seoul, the company is converting the Gimpo headquarters in Gyeonggi-do into an electric vehicle charger production line, and is thus building the largest production base in Korea. AHA is currently negotiating with multiple companies for consignment production.
AHA has been exhibited EV chargers and PSUs at major international exhibitions such as CES 2024, GITEX 2024, and ISE 2025. It has received favorable reviews from overseas EV and PSU manufacturers, etc. AHA expects that overseas exports will begin in earnest with this UL certification.

Korea’s January Exports

https://korean-machinery.com///inquiry

Korea’s January Exports Decreased by Over 10%
Semiconductor exports continued to perform well, achieving over US$10 billion for nine consecutive months.

Due to the early Lunar New Year holiday and other factors, Korea’s January exports decreased by more than 10%, and the 15-month consecutive ‘export plus’ streak came to a halt.
The main product, semiconductor exports, continued to perform well, achieving over $10 billion for nine consecutive months, but automobile exports, which were largely affected by the decrease in operating days, fell by nearly 20%.

The January export amount totaled $49.12 billion, down 10.3% from the same month last year.
Korea’s exports turned positive in October 2023 compared to the same month the previous year, and continued to record positive growth for 15 consecutive months until December last year, but this positive trend ceased in January 2025.
Looking at the trends of the 15 main export items, excluding the two items that are the largest export items, namely, semiconductors and computers, exports of 13 items decreased compared to last year. However, based on the daily average exports, the exports of 10 items increased.
Semiconductor exports in January increased by 8.1% from last year to $10.1 billion, recording the second highest January performance after 2022 ($10.8 billion).
Semiconductor exports recorded more than $10 billion for nine consecutive months, continuing the year-on-year export plus trend for 15 consecutive months.
Despite the seasonal decrease in demand for information technology (IT) products and the decline in general memory prices, the semiconductor export boom continued as demand for high value-added memory products such as high bandwidth memory (HBM) and DDR5 remained strong due to the artificial intelligence (AI) craze.
Computer item exports, including solid state drives (SSDs), also increased by 14.8% to $800 million, continuing their 13th consecutive month of growth.
Automobile exports, the second largest export item, decreased by 19.6% to $5 billion. The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) analyzed that the decrease in the number of operating days was greater than that of other industries as automakers including Hyundai Motors and parts manufacturers designated Friday following the Lunar New Year holiday as an additional holiday.
Amid the global electric vehicle (EV) chasm (temporary stagnation in demand), EV exports decreased by 50.3%, while internal combustion engine vehicle exports also decreased by 20.8%, but hybrid vehicle exports increased by 37.1%, continuing their steady growth. Auto parts exports also decreased by 17.2% to $1.57 billion.
