Dynamic Information System for Cooperative Autonomous Driving

WAYS1’s solution LDM2X attracts attention as the first example of a cooperative autonomous driving solution designated as an excellent research and development innovation product in recognition of its innovation and public concern.
In order to overcome the limitations of self-driving cars that currently rely only on their own sensors, LDM2X accurately maps real-time dynamic object information collected from traffic infrastructure such as CCTV and traffic lights on roads, and creates it into the standard messages required for self-driving cars.
In addition, LDM2X can be directly applied not only to autonomous driving, but also to the overall C-ITS, including ITS advancement, smart intersections, and child protection zone control. This is attributable to the result of satisfying the low-latency performance with an edge computing method that performs data processing and analysis at the road site.
In addition, WAYS1 introduced LDM2X for the first time at this year’s Consumer Electronic Show (CES) in Las Vegas. It presented an infrastructure-based cooperative autonomous driving solution as a new alternative to the American and European markets where the need for autonomous vehicle safety is increasing, and received a lot of attention from automakers and various autonomous vehicle startups from overseas.
A spokesperson for the company explained, “We participated in various national research projects including MOLIT’s ‘Urban Road Cooperative Autonomous Driving Safety Infrastructure Research,’ and gained recognition for our technological prowess through leading R&D in the LDM sector,” adding, “We plan to continue commercializing various transportation solutions, including LDM-based autonomous driving digital twin control, signal simulation, etc.”

Gimbap that captured the world

In simple terms, gimbap is a food made by rolling rice and a variety of ingredients in a sheet of laver before slicing into bite-sized pieces. Because the ingredients are highly customizable, gimbap can be made to anyone’s taste, whether it’s beef gimbap, tuna gimbap, or even vegetable gimbap. This last one is especially popular among vegetarians because there is no meat included.

Gimbap to your taste

Kobongmin | One of Korea’s gimbap chain restaurants, their best-sellers are the savory tuna gimbap and the dongaseu gimbap with a strip of crunchy pork cutlet in the middle. Lacto-ovo vegetarians can enjoy the baggoji (dried shavings of calabash gourd) gimbap. They also sell many other popular street foods that go great with gimbap.

Otto Kimbap | Getting its start in Itaewon, Otto Kimbap has spread throughout the Seoul and Gyeonggi-do areas. When visiting this restaurant, be sure to order gimbap and dak-gangjeong (deep-fried and braised chicken) together. In particular, the wasabi gimbap is the perfect counterbalance to the chicken’s seasoning.

Namdaemun Tongtong Gimbap | This gimbap shop has been operating in Namdaemun Market for a long time. Famous for their rice-to-ingredient ratio of 1:9, the gimbap here is bursting at the seams. One roll is enough to fill you up so be sure to pick your menu carefully. The most popular options are the healthy brown rice gimbap and the spam egg gimbap. If there is an ingredient you don’t like, you can also easily have it removed when placing your order through the kiosk.

Selermari | This restaurant became famous for vegetarian gimbap that is both healthy and visually pleasing. Popular menus include the spinach and soy bean paste gimbap, made with seasonal spinach, green onion, and Korean chili pepper mixed in soy bean paste, and the egg strip gimbap filled with thick egg strips. Ways to enjoy leftover gimbap

1) Gimbap jeon (gimbap pancake)

2) Gimbap fried rice

Korea Pack 2024, an international exhibition for packaging materials, will be held across Halls 1 to 5 (approximately 53,000m2 in total) of KINTEX 1st Exhibition Center in Goyang, a city near Seoul, for four days from Tuesday, April 23 to Friday, April 26 this year.

During the period of the exhibition, cutting-edge packaging technologies and products tailored to various industries, including food and beverage, confectionery/baking, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and household goods, will be on display.
It is expected that Korea Pack 2024, an international trade event held under the theme of ‘Sustainability, Efficiency, and Safe Packaging,’ will bring together more than 1,000 packaging industry leaders and experts from 25 countries, including Korea, Japan, and China, and countries in Europe, and the Americas, with 3,000 booths.
The Korea Packaging Machinery Association (KPMA), with members comprising Korea’s top packaging machine manufacturers and related parts service companies, has secured an exhibition space of approximately 9,000m2 (1,000 booths) to successfully host Korea Pack 2024 – in order to showcase End of Line (EOL) technologies including food and beverages, the pharmaceutical industry, the petrochemical industry, etc.
In addition, KPMA is planning to invite packaging groups from Japan, Taiwan, and the Philippines — with the aim to promote networking and collaboration among overseas packaging companies.
This year, Korea Pack will feature an ‘ESG Sustainable Packaging Special Exhibition & Conference,’ highlighting the importance of carbon neutrality in response to environmental pollution and climate change. At this exhibition, the latest products and technologies of companies that provide packaging solutions in consideration of the environment will be displayed.
