Korea’s Exporters’ Active Journey to Pioneer Potential Markets

Korea’s exports in April recorded a double-digit increase. It has been ‘export-plus’ for seven months. This is thanks to the increase in exports of key items such as semiconductors, automobiles, etc.
In particular, semiconductor exports, the largest export item, recorded US$9.96 billion, the second highest ever in April. It increased by 56.1% compared to the same month last year, recording positive exports for six consecutive months.

According to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE), Korea’s exports in April amounted to US$56.26 billion (about KRW 78 trillion), a 13.8% increase compared to the same month last year.
Automobile exports increased by 10.3% compared to the same month last year, breaking a record-high export amount. It recorded $6.79 billion in exports, surpassing the previous biggest record of exports in November last year ($6.53 billion).
Exports of general machinery turned positive in just one month, reaching an all-time high of $4.68 billion (1.5%) as of April. Ship exports also increased by 5.6%, showing positive growth for nine consecutive months.

Vacuum Skin Packaging Machines

Established in 1999, PACKSIS Co., Ltd. is a manufacturer of disposable food container packaging machines. From the MA1, the most sold manual-packaging machine model in Korea, to the vacuum skin packaging machine model 400K, it has been steadily researching and developing new products.

Compact automatic model (400K)
The 400K is a compact automatic model with a size of a standard water purifier and is good for use in stores such as butcher shops. As the power is single-phase, it can be used immediately by plugging the cord into the outlet, and in particular, it does not require installation of a compressor, so consumers can use it conveniently.

Mass-production possible model (500K)
The 500K has a similar size to normal refrigerators, so it does not take up much space. Compared to the 400, which can only be used with one container tray, it can be used with two container trays, thus enabling mass-production. It adopts a rotary method that works manually, and like the 400K, there is no need to install a compressor, which enhances consumer convenience.

The 400W is an image sensor weighing packaging machine that automatically weighs and enables the automatic printing of label stickers by automatically recognizing the contents of the package. Thereafter, the packaging worker attaches the sticker to the container to complete the process.
There are also two competitive models – the 600K, and the 650K. Suitable for food factories, the 600K is a mid-sized model, ensuring cheaper prices than products of other companies. The 650K is a rotary-type larger model that enables mass-production, thus ensuring lower prices than products of other companies.

Two types of double wall forming machines
The double wall forming machine (double cup machine) is a machine that produces double cups by adding one layer of paper to the outer surface of ordinary paper cups.
Future Pack’s double wall forming machines come in two types, according to the cup size: FPP-275A, which produces small cups from 8oz to 16oz; and FPP-275C, which produces large cups from 18oz to 32oz. The two machines have almost the same specifications, but there is a difference in the speed of paper cup production. The FPP-275A produces up to 55 per minute, while the FPP-275C produces up to 50 per minute.
Above all, the biggest advantage of double wall forming machines is that they can produce double cups using not only 1PE (polyethylene coated on one side), and 2PE (polyethylene coated on both sides) paper, but also PLA or water-based, plastic-free coating. Moreover, it is an environmentally friendly product that helps solve recycling-related issues.

Automatic Banding Machine for Wide Film
