L-Tie is made of carbon tool steel known as ATOS 780 that is mainly used for springs. It has an effect of controlling horizontal vibration by supporting walls & floors, and walls & ceilings.
 In particular, the curved joint part and the figural feature elastically support the wall structure, thereby supporting the ceiling structure, and dispersing loads concentrated on the wall structure when vibration occurs. These two parts coupled with an anchor also help to disperse living and fixed loads of a building under normal conditions.
The size of the ‘L’ anchor, which may affect the gap (50mm), or the number of delta pieces used to connect the vertical part and the bracket, has also been considered.

This steel product made in Korea is not a simple stiffener, but a preventing and controlling system designed to absorb and restore shocks when experiencing an earthquake. In short, it has been developed to minimize damage while working, like a safety belt of a car.

Seismic Bracing
By benchmarking the performance of the American hold-down hardware and merits of the Japanese vibration control system, the company has developed seismic bracings that can beef up the resistance to shearing forces and absorb vibrations arising from an earthquake, especially for wooden houses.
Going one step ahead of the American hold-down hardware constructed at each corner of the shear walls, L-Tie is placed not only at every corner of the shear walls but also at the top and bottom of the most vulnerable openings (windows), to provide added protection in the event of an earthquake, offering differentiated features as it can prevent distortions or damage to shear walls.

Being made of carbon tool steel known as ATOS 780 used for automobile plate springs, the seismic bracing hardware of L-Tie has a certain level of elasticity, enabling it to absorb seismic waves, external shocks or vibrations and restore and maintain the original form.

It also applies for anti-erosion and waterproofing in various structures such as chemical tanks, ordinary pipes and steel pipes, and industrial facilities.
Besides, its application expands much wider in industrial fields not only with its excellent constructability that does not allow flowing down on the inclined plane and on the vertical plane, but also outstanding workability under severe environment in terms of temperature, humidity, and coldness, while reducing the construction time.

Khanpure, Winner of CES® 2024 Innovation Awards

Khanfilter’s latest air-pollution reduction equipment solution, ‘Khanpure,’ is the new innovator in the sluggish air-pollution control market. It won the innovation award at CES 2024.
Existing technologies could not avoid filter contamination and were particularly vulnerable to oil vapors. HEPA filters, when exposed to oil vapors, had their lifespans significantly reduced, necessitating disposal, while electrostatic precipitators and wet scrubbers generated substantial wastewater during use and maintenance. Ironically, facilities created to prevent air pollution were causing secondary environmental pollution. For example, the currently lauded Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO) technology consumes a lot of energy and emits greenhouse gases by burning gas-polluted air.

Khanpure resolves these issues by being the first to apply vehicle Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) technology outside of vehicles. Vehicle DPF uses high-temperature engine exhaust gases to catalyze and oxidize trapped pollutants, regenerating the filter for semi-permanent use without replacement. Khanpure, with its patented catalytic reaction module, is the first technology in the world to make this possible anywhere.
Through this self-cleaning process, Khanpure maintains performance indefinitely without filter replacement, thus resolving the issue of secondary environmental pollution. Moreover, it achieves over 80% energy savings compared to existing technologies, thereby significantly reducing maintenance costs while also addressing carbon emissions.

Khanpure is an all-in-one solution that can eliminate over 90% of PM, Odor, VOCs, THC, bacteria, and viruses, thus resolving various causes of air pollution essential to be addressed for eco-friendly cities.
