Battery Warm-up Heater for EVs

Last winter, many electric vehicles (EVs) were unable to operate due to the cold wave in the northern parts of North America. This is because batteries have difficulty operating in cold weather. The battery warm-up heater for EVs was thus developed to solve this problem and increase battery efficiency in winter.

Helping to extend the driving range of EVs
While warm-up heaters have been used before, INZI CONTROLS’ warm-up heater uses a cylindrical ceramic heating element to increase the warm-up speed. This shortens the cold start time and increases battery efficiency, thereby helping to extend the driving range of electric vehicles.

The cylindrical structure of the ceramic heating element firstly allows the fluid to heat up as it passes through the heating element, and then secondly to heat up as it passes through the outside of the heating element – thereby maximizing the heat transfer between the heating element and the fluid, resulting in rapid warm-up and high thermal efficiency.
Assuming that the target temperature of the battery pack is 21˚C, based on the 10kW capacity of the warm-up heater, INZICONTROLS’ warm-up heater delivers a warm-up speed that is 58% superior to the existing sheath heater.
Also, when the capacity of the warm-up heater increases, the size of the heating element generally increases proportionally. However, the ceramic heater of INZI CONTROLS can respond to various capacities with the same volume by controlling the internal heating pattern. Moreover, INZI CONTROLS’ warm-up heater is 35% smaller in volume and 36% lighter in weight than the existing sheath heater.

Butterfly Valves

Triple offset butterfly valve
4M-BTO model is manufactured based on fundamental triple offset valve structure. So that it is applicable in the condition of low or high temperature as well as high pressure. The combination of three offset provides an uninterrupted sealing surface, minimizes wear between the seat and seal, and preserves sealing integrity over the life cycle of the valve.
It is able to be designed as manual, automatic and proportional types of control according to customer’s needs, so very applicable for various conditions.
The triple offset valve has maximum working pressure of 100 bar (Customization available) and maximum working temperature: 650˚C (Customization available). To prevent the secession of the valve of the valve seat, it is fabricated as a structure fixed to the body and the structure is designed to maintain easily when pipes are laid.

Double offset butterfly valve
4M-BDO model butterfly valve can be used in multi purposes. The application of the product can be customized depending on use environment.
The maximum working pressure is 50 bar and the maximum working temperature is 220˚C for RTFE seat and 600˚C for meatal seat. It is fabricated in dual large-diameter structure to improve the durability of the valve and to minimize the wear and tear of seat with a 4M unique seat structure, so the life of the valve is extended.

Concentric butterfly valve
The 4M-BCO model butterfly valve can be applied to cool water. The maximum working pressure is 20kgf/cm2 and the maximum working temperature is 0~90˚C for EPDM seat. To prevent the separation of the valve seat, it is fabricated into the tube seat structure, thereby reducing the torque with precision machining of the disc that then works smoothly.

Y-Pattern angle seated valve
The 4M-Y pattern angle seated valve can be used for multiple purposes. The application can be customized depending on the environment. The maximum working pressure is 10kgf/cm2 and the maximum working temperature is 180˚C. Structurally it can be used as a check valve function and it is manufactured in light weight and compact so it can be installed in machinery and narrow spaces.
