Butterfly Valves

Triple offset butterfly valve
The 4M-BTO model is manufactured based on fundamental triple offset valve structure. So that it is applicable in conditions of low or high temperature as well as high pressure. The combination of three offsets provides an uninterrupted sealing surface, minimizes wear between the seat and seal, and preserves sealing integrity over the life cycle of the valve.
It is able to be designed as manual, automatic and proportional types of control according to the customer’s needs, so it is very applicable for various conditions.
The triple offset valve has maximum working pressure of 100 bar (Customization available) and maximum working temperature: 650˚C (Customization available). To prevent the secession of the valve of the valve seat, it is fabricated as a structure fixed to the body and the structure is designed to be easily maintained when pipes are laid.

Double offset butterfly valve
The 4M-BDO model butterfly valve can be used in multi purposes. The application of the product can be customized according to the use environment.
The maximum working pressure is 50 bar and the maximum working temperature is 220˚C for RTFE seat and 600˚C for metal seat. It is fabricated in dual large-diameter structure to improve the durability of the valve and to minimize the wear and tear of seat with a 4M unique seat structure, so the life of the valve is extended.


 Concentric butterfly valve
The 4M-BCO model butterfly valve can be applied to cool water. The maximum working pressure is 20kgf/cm2 and the maximum working temperature is 0~90˚C for EPDM seat. To prevent the separation of the valve seat, it is fabricated into the tube seat structure, thereby reducing the torque with precision machining of the disc that then works smoothly.

Y-Pattern angle seated valve
The 4M-Y pattern angle seated valve can be used for multiple purposes. The application can be customized depending on the environment. The maximum working pressure is 10kgf/cm2 and the maximum working temperature is 180˚C. Structurally it can be used as a check valve function and it is manufactured as lightweight and compact so it can be installed in machinery and narrow spaces.
FoM Engineering has been recognized as a “technology innovation small and medium-sized enterprise (INNOBIZ)” by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS). Moreover, FoM Engineering is striving to create better and more honest products by applying strict quality control through the quality management system (ISO9001).

Mold Transformers

NO. 2506M07] Mold transformers, which have been supplied to the market for over 20 years, have a similar performance to existing oil-immersed transformers, but are less noisy, space-saving, and easier to maintain. So they are usually used in places that require high reliability, such as power plants and factories, or places where installation conditions are restricted, or where environmental resistance is required.
Sungjin General Electric introduced its vacuum casting mold transformers as its main product at a recent local exhibition in Korea.
Sungjin General Electric’s mold transformers use epoxy resin, so there is no risk of ignition or explosion in the event of a fire caused by an arc, and they are self-extinguishing. In addition, since they have excellent insulation performance, external moisture does not penetrate, even during long-term storage, so separate drying work is unnecessary.

In particular, they are manufactured based on a molding method and design that can sufficiently withstand temperature changes and overloads, making them suitable for equipment with large short-term overload capability and large load fluctuations. The coil is molded in a vacuum using epoxy resin with excellent electrical and mechanical strength, making it resistant to short-circuit accidents.
“In the case of oil-immersed transformers, the insulation rate must be checked and replaced, but this process is unnecessary for mold transformers, so among transformers used indoors, mold transformers are preferred. We have been manufacturing mold transformers for over 20 years, and we are currently selling over 200 units per month,” explained a spokesperson for the company, adding, “Our mold transformers can be customized for voltage and capacity according to customer requests. Based on this technological prowess, they are being supplied to government offices, etc., and their technology is being recognized.”

Korea Exporters Seeking to Maintain Growth Engines in Global Markets

Korea’s total exports in May amounted to $57.27 billion. Exports of 10 out of the 15 major export items, including automobiles and petrochemicals, decreased.
In particular, automobile exports declined by 4.4% from a year ago to $6.2 billion. This was as a result of the 25% tariff on imported automobiles imposed by the USA in early April, followed by the 25% tariff on some automobile parts starting May 3.
Exports of petroleum products and petrochemicals recorded $3.6 billion and $3.2 billion, respectively, down 20.9% and 20.8% year-on-year. Exports plummeted by 20% as the prices of both items plummeted due to the low oil price trend that followed the inauguration of the Trump administration in the United States.

By region, exports decreased in seven out of the nine major markets, excluding the European Union (EU) and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
Exports to China fell by 8.4% overall to $10.4 billion due to a decrease in exports of semiconductors and petrochemicals, Korea’s two largest export items. Exports to the United States, where the impact of reciprocal and product tariffs is in full swing, decreased by 8.1% to $10 billion.
Promising Korean exporters continued to actively challenge overseas markets in order to gradually increase their export growth in the second quarter of this year.
As part of such efforts, Korean exporters are strategically developing and releasing competitive new items, which are expected to capture keen attention in global markets. For example:
Seo Young Industrial recently unveiled its cable tray system that can safely preserve cables used in manufacturing sites, even in earthquakes, and thus prevent secondary accidents.
And Sungjin General Electric introduced its vacuum casting mold transformers as its main product at a recent local exhibition in Korea.

Korean Firms Aim to Boost their Market Position through ProPak Asia 2025

The 32nd International Processing and Packaging Exhibition for Asia (ProPak Asia 2025) will be held from June 11 to 14 at BITEC, Bangkok, Thailand.
This exhibition is the largest international trade fair in Asia that showcases the latest processing and packaging technologies in various industries such as food and beverages, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics.
ProPak Asia 2024 featured over 2,000 brands from 42 countries, 14 country pavilions, and attracted 68,218 visitors.
As one of the leading packaging industry exhibitions in Asia, ProPak Asia 2024 attracted buyers from 83 countries including from all over Asia, the United States, and Europe. The most visited countries were Japan, China, Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia, Cambodia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Myanmar, and India.
ProPak Asia 2024 increased in terms of exhibition size, and numbers of participants, and visitors compared to previous years; and in particular, the number of visitors increased by 15%. A total of 14 national pavilions including Korea, Germany, the United States, Japan, China, and Italy were operated, highlighting the global aspect of the event.
During the exhibition period, 49 various seminars and conferences were held on large and small stages, drawing more attention from packaging industry professionals and experts.
A Korean participant in ProPak Asia 2024 remarked, “It was really great to be able to meet buyers from various countries in one place in Thailand. We will expand our booth and participate again next year,” and most Korean companies expressed their desire to participate again.

For ProPak Asia 2025, Korean companies will exhibit via the Korean Pavilion including those that manufacture automated robot lines, bottle filling and beverage equipment, can manufacturing equipment, packaging machines, packaging materials, dairy products, food processing equipment, paper, cardboard manufacturing equipment, logistics packaging lines, and packaging waste treatment equipment.
ProPak Asia 2025 is expected to highlight sustainable technologies and innovative solutions, and provide an opportunity for industry professionals to gather to share knowledge and build business networks. Key exhibition categories include processing technology, packaging technology, beverage technology, pharmaceutical technology, logistics and transportation.

KMIRA Signs MOU for the First Hosting of E-MECO

E-MECO is the only specialized exhibition in the energy measurement and control sector in Korea, which is anticipated to contribute to the growth of the national economy.

The Korea Measuring Instruments Research Association (KMIRA) has signed a business agreement (MOU) with the Nano Technology Research Association (NTRA) for the joint hosting of NANO KOREA 2025 and E-MECO 2025, both of which are scheduled to be held from July 2 to 4 of this year.
This MOU signing is considered to be an important first stepping stone for providing networking opportunities for companies in related fields through cooperation between the two research associations. Through these exhibitions, the two associations plan to share the latest technology trends and provide venues for various discussions for industrial development.

E-MECO is the only specialized exhibition in the energy measurement and control sector in Korea, and is a newly created domestic exhibition for securing energy resources, which is emerging as a challenge internationally; and for the oil, gas, and plant sectors, which are essential to the national economy.
Lee Yong-ku, the secretary-general of KMIRA explained, “Through this official MOU, we will actively discover cooperative projects with the Nano Technology Research Association and support domestic small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and member companies.”
Chung Jong-il, the executive director of the NTRA, added, “This MOU focuses on jointly hosting exhibitions and cooperation in exhibition works, and we will jointly pursue technology development, hosting workshops for member companies, and corporate promotion from now on.”
Meanwhile, E-MECO 2025 will be held from July 2 to 4 at KINTEX 1.

Electronic Parking Brake System

NO. 2504M20] The rear brake structure of recently released vehicles is based on the electronic parking brake system, which is different from the existing wire type, and cannot be purchased aftermarket brakes. To address this issue, STOLZ has put its own technology into developing its EPB rear 4-piston brake system.
As a product developed for large-sized SUVs and high-performance vehicles, FEX 8-piston large calipers and 405mm rotors are installed in the front wheels and FEX 4-piston calipers and 380mm rotors are used for the rear wheels.
Thanks to the 3D precise designing technology, each of the brakes is manufactured only for their own vehicles. The bracket structure optimized for compatibility is designed to be applied to rear EPB vehicles by simply changing brackets.

The caliper is made of lightweight materials based on forged aluminum alloy and is precisely cut with the innovative MCT equipment into STOLZ’s unique designs. And the disc rotor is based on the 2-piece combination between high-performance lightweight plates that include patented ventilation-structured carbons, and the aluminum housing, so as to improve the most important factors in the braking performance such as lightweight and heat-radiation (heat-release) effects.
STOLZ Co., Ltd. is a company that manufactures and sells aftermarket calipers made of forged aluminum with its own technology developed for over 20 years in relation with automobile brake systems.
