[INQ. NO. 1305M22] Naontech recently succeeded in developing a robot, which was a successful case of Gyeonggi-Province-led financial support for development projects mainly targeting promising smalland medium-sized ventures.
The robot is designed with emphasis on function minimizing the tendency of a robot’s side-to-side wobble by elevating the rigidity of the arms of the robot
– for effectively transferring glasses.
The developed transferring robot is now considered essential equipment employed in all processes of FPD production lines and it offers 20% cheaper price competitiveness over similar imported models. The company recently completed registration of a patent, plus the existing patent regarding robot structure. The company president, Kim Won-kyung, explained: “Several years of development and supply experience of robot and automation module enables our proactive formation of leadership in the field, at least in the Korean market,” further noting that investment in transferring robots will continue – so as to ultimately elevate the company’s leadership share in the global market.
