[INQ. NO. 2609M14] Energy Bank’s mixed thermal storage heating & cooling system based upon Samsung’s air source heat pump utilizes the Samsung air source heat pump — a high-efficiency renewable energy facility — to store chilled and hot water produced by the pump in the form of ice, chilled water, and hot water in a KEPCO-certified mixed thermal storage tank, which is then used for heating and cooling.
In particular, by utilizing the nighttime (II) electricity rate system, which applies 24 hours per day, the system can reduce basic charges by up to 90%, and usage charges by approximately 50% compared to standard electricity rates, thereby significantly lowering the operating expenses of a building’s heating and cooling costs.

Furthermore, the mixed thermal storage heating & cooling system supplies chilled and hot water produced by the pump to various load facilities, such as Air Handling Units (AHUs), Fan Coil Units (FCUs), and floor heating. As a next-generation system capable of replacing existing absorption chillers and turbo chillers, it is drawing keen attention as eco-friendly heating and cooling technology that aligns with energy policies centered on carbon neutrality and the electrification of buildings.
Energy Bank is a specialized partner of Samsung Electronics for HVAC, and is a company that designs and installs heating, cooling, and mixed thermal storage systems utilizing Samsung’s air source heat pumps.
