Enjoying such ever-striking performance, Korea’s HVACR industry circle set a further aggressive aim of capturing newly emerging competitive markets including Southeast Asia through securing of high-efficiency and eco-friendly technologies. Korea’s HVACR industry circle at an early stage grasped the potential importance of the HVACR industry as one of the indispensable industries in improving both the living environment and industry production process in a global range. Korea has early designated the industry as one of the major growth engines leading the national economy in the global markets while encouraging the companies associated to massively invest in this industry and thus to beef up the presence of those companies in an increasingly competitive global market.
At the HVACR exhibitions held in Korea in 2013, many of the newer, highly competitive items and technologies reflecting the latest trends of the HVACR industry both at home and abroad markets were displayed capturing keen attention, especially from potential buyers. Several models of heater pumps were highly eye-catching items creating a lively atmosphere at the held exhibitions.
Two conglomerates, both pillars of the nation’s system airconditioning industry, Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics took a leading role in unveiling market-creating and market-leading product models as they did before. They signaled that they had started increasing their share of the global market along with ever-increased technological leadership.
In the case of HARFKO 2013, more than 180 companies from 24 nations displayed nearly 400 HVACR items helping the exhibition to increase ever-higher recognition in the global market in terms of newer market-leading technologies, scale of booths, and number of visitors. Samsung and LG have competed with each other for the crown of the No. 1 maker in the nation which has excellence in energy consumption efficiency (COP), a standard of performance of system airconditioners.
The big spectaculars led by two companies include numbers of buyer consulting, visitors’ numbers, number of one-site contracts, etc. For the upcoming AHR Expo 2014 be held from January 21 to 23, Korea’s small-and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) including 15 companies supported by the KRAIA (Korea Refrigeration Air-Conditioning & Fluid Machinery Products) are especially targeting the U.S market and its neighboring regions of markets with an aim to reconfirm the competitiveness of their technology.
