Inboard & Generator Engines
[INQ. NO. 2211M06] Korea R&D’s marine engines have models ranging from 69 ps to 320 ps, and provide optimal custom-developed engines. Its inboard engines and generator engines are suitable for consumer use.

Korea R&D’s marine engines deliver excellent performance and durability by applying a robust and advanced common-rail fuel-injection system that can provide the best performance even in difficult conditions.

The cooling system equipped with materials to prevent corrosion by seawater ensures optimum performance of the engines.

Korea R&D’s marine engines with an optimized combustion system feature an excellent fuel-consumption rate of 15% or more compared to mechanical engines of the same class.

Korea R&D’s marine engine uses a self-diagnostic device to provide convenient and accurate fault diagnosis and pre-check functions to ensure that the engine is always operated in optimal conditions.

OutBoard & Surface Drive
Korea R&D’s outboard has a different concept from the vertical-type outboard applied to most of the current outboards. It optimizes the center of gravity of the power head to minimize power-head vibration, and synchronizes each part to reduce output loss.

Korea R&D’s marine diesel engine delivers excellent performance and durability by applying a common rail and turbocharger, which can provide strong propulsion and acceleration, and has the ability to withstand heavy loads to optimize fuel consumption. For this purpose, an aerodynamic modular design is applied, which increases the refueling time and makes it possible to extend the operating time.

Diesel is a less-flammable fuel, and is therefore safer to work with in hazardous environments. Robust, compact and modern design leads to safe operation in fierce conditions.

Automotive Piston Rings

https://korean-machinery.com///inquiry[INQ. NO. 1803M12] Piston rings are the most important functional component in the engine requiring appropriate design, high-precision machining, excellent material and special surface treatment in order to perform the basic requirements of sealing, oil control, lubrication characteristics and heat transfer.
Yoosung Enterprise manufactures a variety of piston rings and seal rings ranging from 20mm to 1,500mm in diameter for internal combustion engines of automobile, agricultural, marine, motorcycle, compressor and industrial engines for supplying to OE and aftermarket in domestic and overseas markets.
For surface treatment of those products, such major treatments as composite plating (Cr-Ceramic), gas nitriding, salt bath nitriding, physical vapor deposition (PVD) coating are greatly considered.
For these products, Yoosung Enterprise also operates particular test equipment that is essential for design and development performing the experimental drive for the parts in the initial development stage and reappearance tests for troubleshooting. It helps to evaluate the details of parts and engine condition under the actual engine circumstances from the initial development to the final mass-production stage.

Marine Equipment – Samkun Century

The world is more connected than we think it is, thanks to active trade between countries. People benefit from exchanging goods that they cannot grab at local markets. For sure, it can improve the quality of life for people who live on different continents around the globe. The best way for transportation is also the traditionally oldest. Of course, airplanes are faster, but large cargo vessels can deal with heavy loads. In order to deliver containers from one place to the other safe and sound, the ships need lot of skillful hands.

And with its foundation in 1989, Korea’s Samkun Century is willing to take responsibilities in leading the marine equipment industry at home and abroad. The manufacturer overcame difficulties and passed numerous strict quality tests. By strategically positioning its facilities across the country, Samkun Century has been successfully exporting to over 20 countries. The shipbuilding and offshore equipment division proudly presents ARA PLASMA BWTS, Fresh Water Supply Unit, R.O Type Fresh Water Generator, UV Sterilizer, Silver Ion Sterilizer, Hot Water Calorifier, Rehardening Filter, PE Coated Pipes & PA Coated Pipe, and more.

BWTS

ARA PLASMA BWTS, an environmentally friendly water treatment system, is easy to install and requires relatively low power. This system, capable of both ballast and de-ballast mode, is comprised of Filter Module, LV Plasma Module, MPLUV Module, and Controller. During its ballast process, Filter Module can eliminate any harmful micro-organisms and floating substance. At LV Plasma Module, any surviving micro-organism below 15mm is facing a dead end through electric shock waves. MPLUV Module sterilizes them by using UVC rays ranging 200 to 280 nanometers. LNG Carrier

LNG Carrier - Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine EngineeringHeadquartered in Seoul, Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co., Ltd. has a shipyard on Geoje Island on the southern tip of the Korea peninsula and maintains business relationships with major shipping and oil companies all over the world.

With over 33 years of experience in shipbuilding and offshore projects, the company prides itself on being able to build sophisticated products with a level of technical superiority second-to none, with timely delivery and an unparalleled dedication to customer satisfaction.

The maker’s LNG vessels, with the proven reliability of the GTT membrane containment system, feature low construction costs and less fuel consumption. Moreover, in comparison with similar ships of the same class, they operate at the highest speed.
Shipowners can also take advantage of their exceptional maneuverability and ease of maintenance.

Equipped with the in-house-developed integrated automation system, operators of the company’s LNG vessels are able to control and monitor a variety of tasks, such as loading and unloading and navigating. The LNG simulator further enhances safety by providing forecasts of navigational risk factors and LNG status.

The global shipbuilder recently released that it signed a 910 billion won ($777 million) contract with Malaysia’s Petroliam Nasional Berhad to build a high-end ship capable of producing, storing and unloading liquefied natural gas(LNG).

DSME said it was the firm’s first contract to build an LNG floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel. The LPG-FPSO will be 300 meters in length and 60 meters wide, capable of simultaneously holding up to 180,000 cubic meters of LNG and 20,000 cubic meters of condensate, a low-density mixture of hydrocarbon liquids.

Based on this capacity, it can produce, store and offload up to 1.2 million tons of LNG. “Global demand for LPGFPSO continues to increase, the deal will help DSME win additional contracts” said a spokesperson.

The partner also released a high expectation for the deal, noting the cooperation of DSME and Technip will lead to a successful operation. Making 16 contracts worth $5.77 billion as of July, the company is making its all-out efforts for this year’s original target of accomplishing $11 billion.
