INAVI QXD1500 is equipped with a radar function that pre-records images for 10 seconds before and after the impact by sensing the movement of nearby vehicles, a low-power design that enables parking to be recorded for 3 or more times longer than the existing products, and parking impact recording, Time Lapse which enables images to be stored for a long time by recording two frames per second and Format Free 2.0 which does not require periodic memory formatting, thereby making it possible to record images stably even in case of long-time parking.
A cutting-edge driver assistance system is also installed to help prevent accidents while driving. In addition to the front-car departure notification system which helps the driver start after waiting for the light to change or stopping, the lane departure detection system which notifies the driver in case the car deviates from the lane suddenly while driving and the front collision warning system which notifies the driver when the distance from the front car is close while driving, INAVI QXD1500 is equipped with the urban front collision warning system which notifies the driver of collision risk by recognizing the safety distance from the forward vehicle even under a low-speed driving conditions of 40 km or less per hour, thereby detecting and notifying the driver of risks which could occur while driving.
INAVI QXD1500 Black Panther Edition, the third marvel edition, will be released at the same time. In addition to the character applied to the front of the product, by using black and metallic purple reminiscent of the Black Panther suits as exterior main colors, more distinctive appearance was materialized. Also, by applying each element to the operated software such as user interface, the marvel edition shows its own worthy features.

The Production and Export of Automobiles on the Decline are Decreased

Export of eco-friendly vehicles and SUV with high unit prices increased.

 

South Korea’s domestic automobile industry has diminished its decline since February, although both production and exports have decreased in terms of vehicle numbers.
In May, exports of both automobiles (1.9%) and auto parts (14.7%) increased YoY in terms of the amount due to export increase of eco-friendly cars and SUVs with high unit prices and export increase of auto parts to the US and China.
Only 354,595 cars were produced in May, 1.3% less annually, due to discontinued production of some models, decrease of domestic sales and exports of domestic cars. Sales of domestic cars decreased slightly but, due to increase of imported car sales, total domestic sales recorded 157,771 units, increased by 1.3% YoY.
During this period, automobile production was only 354,595 units, decreased by 1.3% YoY, due to overseas inventory adjustments, discontinued production of some models, and decrease of domestic sales and exports of domestic cars. The models that were discontinued in February were Cruze and Orlando.
Hyundai Motor’s production dropped by 4.3% YoY due to production adjustments caused by sluggish exports of some models despite the increase in domestic sales, mainly in SUVs (Santa Fe, Kona).
Kia Motor’s production increased by 7.0% YoY on the strength of the effect from new cars such as K3, K9, and Carnival (including partial changes). In case of GM Korea, production decreased by 14.4% YoY due to discontinued production of Gunsan Factory coupled with slump of domestic sales and exports.
Ssangyong’s production jumped by 9.4% YoY thanks to the domestic sales effect of the new car Rexton Sports(pickup) released early this year. On the other hand, Renault Samsung’s production fell by 4.9% YoY due to sluggish domestic demand and exports of SM6.

The 2018 International Conference on Advanced Automotive Technology (ICAT) will be held at the Kimdaejung Convention Center in Gwangju from July 5 to 7, introducing the Korean and overseas electric vehicle (EV) industry and technology status.
ICAT is a conference that was expanded from the previous “International Symposium for Next-generation Automobile Technology”, held by the Automobile Research Center at Chonnam National University since 1995, into a specialized convention in Gwangju from 2015. The event is co-conducted by the Automobile Research Center in Chonnam National University, BK21+ (National Research Foundation of Korea), University of Honam, University of Ulsan, Korea Automotive Technology Institute (KATECH), Gwangju Institute of Green-Car Advancement, Kimdaejung Convention Center, and Gwangju Convention & Visitor Bureau and sponsored by the Gwangju Metropolitan City, Korea Tourism Organization (KTO), and the Korea Society of Automotive Engineers (KSAE).
This year, 13 electric automobile experts from auto research centers in universities, research centers, automobile manufacturers and auto parts suppliers from seven countries including Korea, the USA, Poland, Japan, China, Germany, and Italy will be invited to give lectures under the theme “EVergreen.” They will give presentations on the key parts technology for electric vehicles and market status and propose future prospects.
A junior session is also prepared to present six posters from industries in Gwangju, six oral – and twenty-five posterpresentations from professors, researchers, and graduate students who are the heroes of the future automobile industry. In particular, this conference will provide two-way simultaneous interpretation between Korean and English for the professionals from the local SMEs, thereby eliminating the inconvenience and language barriers.
During the conference, the 11th International Green Car Korea, the first green car exhibition of the country, will be held at the same venue. This event will offer multiple benefits with the opportunities for education, attraction, and entertainment through conferences where various cultural performances to enhance the satisfaction of participants and tours around Gwangju will be offered free of charge.


“ICAT 2018 is a platform that enables research on electric vehicles and allows industry experts to understand the development and flow of advanced technologies and to predict the future. DGA-X

DGA-X is a product that analyzes multi-pollutant (NOx, SOx) gasses from industrial boiler chimneys and reduction facilities or chemical process of air-pollution emissions. The method of the product is by inserting the probe and detector directly into the chimney/duct where the gas flows and measuring the gas concentration inside the chimney/duct. This product has a feature of fast reaction speed and does not require a separate preprocessor, thereby making it easy to install and use.
As for the measuring method, an optical mode is used in a large amount of gas and continuous measurement. SO2 and NOx contained in the emissions have an absorption band in the region of 200 to 300 nm of ultraviolet rays. It uses the Differential Optical Absorption Spectroscopy (DOAS) based on the Beer-Lambert Law which has combined the Beer Law that the absorbance is proportional to the concentration of the absorbed substance as the emissions have the absorption band of ultraviolet rays and the Lambert Law that the absorbance is proportional to the thickness of the absorption layer. It extracts the interference components between the gases by separating the gas component, the dust and the signal on the optical path among the optical signals inputted to the analyzer by replacing the optical path corresponding to the standard gas or the reference path with a mathematical algorithm.

 

DST-X

DST-X is a chimney gas measuring instrument of continuous sampling type, which is a continuous automatic measuring instrument for measuring components of emissions from a chimney. Its principle is analyzing the gas which absorbs energy in the ultraviolet (UV) region by utilizing the UV light source. In general, it measures concentration of the sample gas by injecting the sample taken from the chimney in the extractive (continuous sampling) method with the sample probe into the gas cell of the measuring instrument through the pretreatment system.
It has adopted the method of analyzing the gas type and gas concentration by using ultraviolet rays of 200~400 nm region. DST-X has applied two measurement methods of both nondispersive and dispersive methods simultaneously. By selecting non-dispersive light in the first step and separating the light in detail by dispersion in the final step, it minimized the effect of interference gas, thereby improving the accuracy of measurement.
