Non-fire & Non-flammable Tape

[INQ. NO. 2010M12] This tape has flame-retardant and antisplashing functions at the same time, and is applied to the pipe connection part of the marine engine and auxiliary parts (tanks, pumps and coolers) for prevention of oil splashing and fl ame retardancy.
Attached to the pipeline of the vessel engine room, marine pipe connection, exhaust gas pipeline and high temperature panel wall, it is applicable in various locations such as ships, off shore structures etc., for the purpose of not burning down in the event of fire, i.e. preventing outbreak of fire, and fire prevention when each fuel and oil pipeline is ruptured.


This tape is attached to the pipe flange connection, connector connection, various valve connections and main inner wall of the engine room. This product has a very important and high-quality function of flame retardance, which prevents burning in the event of fire. Also, conflagration can be blocked in advance by covering the gap between the pipe and connection part with the non-fire tape so that the fuel and oil cannot be sprayed when the fuel pipe is leaked. Therefore, according to the SOLAS RULE of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), this product must be applied to all pipe connections inside ship parts and cabins, and it is an essentially applied to the offshore structures and ships on condition of approval of the class society.
The tape is currently supplied to Hyundai Heavy Industries, Samsung Shipyard, Daewoo Heavy Industries, Hyundai Mipo Dockyard, and Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries, and is also exported to overseas shipyards.
Specifi cations relating to no-fi re tape and non-fl ammable tape are marked on the right sheet.
In particular, 50mmx10m, 100mmx10m no-fi re tapes, and 75mmx50mx1 roll, 100mmx50mx1 roll non-fl ammable tapes are widely used.

As HIMC processes its hydraulic cylinders with selfproduced SRB (Skiving Roller Burnishing), they have bett erdurability and working performance than existing products. The company is producing tubes up to Ø 250 mm of bore, 3000 mm of length, and 750kgf/cm2 of test pressure.
Contamination level for cleaner and hydraulic fluid is managed in NAS (National Aerospace Standard) class 7, and measured periodically, once a week. Because the company has its own manufacturing for head covers, rod covers, pistons, and parts required in manufacturing hydraulic cylinders, it has a system that can respond in a timely manner, even for small quantity orders.

For hydrogen to be stored in a solid form, the major raw material of metallic alloy must be made to a shape and size that can be inserted into the hydrogen storage cylinder (the hydrogen storage container), and the hydrogen gas must be compressed and injected into the metallic alloy in the cylinder.

When the temperature of such injected hydrogen gas inside the cylinder is compressed or lowered in temperature, the hydrogen sticks to the metallic alloy for hydrogen storage and becomes the state of hydrogen storage in the cylinder.
When using such stored hydrogen, one can easily get the hydrogen gas out of the cylinder by raising the temperature of the cylinder or lowering the internal pressure of the cylinder.
The Jangbogo-class submarine is powered by the electricity generated by the fuel cell and the hydrogen stored in the cylinder as explained above.
A submarine must be heavy enough to be able to navigate underwater, and must be built, taking into account the explosion at the moment it is attacked with a torpedo.
The hydrogen storage cylinder has all the elements that can satisfy this necessary characteristic of a submarine.

The first element is stability.
When hydrogen stored in a cylinder is penetrated into metallic alloy by a certain degree of pressure, the pressure inside the cylinder is naturally reduced to less than 10 bar, thus enabling stable storage of hydrogen.

The second element is the weight of metallic alloy for hydrogen storage.
Submarines that need to be submerged must have more than a certain weight, and the weights of the metallic alloy for hydrogen storage and the cylinders, as solid metallic objects themselves, thus helping the submarines to submerge.

Special Electrolysis for Hydrogen Refueling Stations

[INQ. NO. 2020M06] EM SOLUTION Co., Ltd. started its business in 1987 under the name of Dongwoo Precision, and later changed its name to EM Korea. It was listed on KOSDAQ in 2007 and switched itself into EM SOLUTION by specializing in the environment and hydrogen business.
Since 2004, the company has developed alkaline electrolysis and built a hydrogen refueling station using electrolysis in Daegu (2012~2015) and Ulsan(2019). Korean government planned to build 310 hydrogen filling stations by 2022, according to the its hydrogen economy road map, and announced its intention to produce hydrogen by electrolysis.

The company developed and delivered a large-scale electrolysis in 2018 and plans to complete the development of a special electrolysis for hydrogen refueling stations in accordance with the government’s plans for 2022.
Currently, 12 hydrogen refueling stations have been built. Four are under construction and market share remains high.
In the environmental field, the company purchased land to build a large environmental plant near Seoul and planned to complete the first low-temperature evaporative food waste disposal plant in Korea in 2019. Hydrogen Refueling Stations
As of the end of 2018, this company has the largest number of accomplishments in the hydrogen field in Korea.
