AI-based ‘Untact’ Enforcement System for Parking Spots for the Disabled

[INQ. NO. 2203M04] IPCAMP recently developed and unveiled an AI-based contactless enforcement system for the handicapped parking spots, called “SHINE.”
This is a kind of AI-based enforcement system that can be moved and installed. It was designed to tackle the increasing frequency of illegal parking problems in parking areas for the disabled.
It was manufactured with a good structure suitable to be effectively installed in various types of parking spots for the disabled by correcting the flaws of the existing fixed enforcement system.

SHINE identifies the vehicle license plate and the parking sign for the disabled when vehicles are entering. It displays the green color when the vehicle for the disabled person is about to park, indicates the red color when general vehicles is illegally trying to park in the parking spot for the disabled. It takes a photograph of multi-lanes, vehicles plates, and the disabled parking sign – by using a 360-degree rotary camera.
Once a vehicle enters the parking spot for the disabled, this system starts recognizing the vehicle, vehicle number plate, rotation correction, vehicle number, parking sign, etc. The program for this system is being made after the enforcement data is created.

This AI-based ‘untact’ enforcement system – through interworking with big data ensures enforcement and guide in ‘untact’ a real-time basis – enhances efficiency in the enforcement by reducing up to 30 percent of the burden of administrative work.

Steering Drive Part (Cage)

Cage fulfills the role of controlling ball bearings in the position between inner race and outer race, and its function is largely related to the noise generated in the vehicle’s spindle in rotary motion.
Cage is currently being applied to all kinds of next-generation vehicles including Electric Vehicles (EVs). Cage, in EVs, is capable of delivering motor power, and of connecting the vehicle’s rotary spindle and engine’s rotary spindle through being used in the spindle that connects the drive wheel.

The existing heat baling method was only capable of recycling good-quality Styrofoam, with such some problems as: excessive logistics costs caused by too much volume and collection & transportation; impossible to recycle if containing foreign objects; and the generation of toxic gas and odors.
SERIM Machinery’s steam compression method, however, is a product that can be eco-friendly recycled by overcoming such problems.

In particular, SERIM Machinery is currently receiving many good reports from fishermen in several fishing village societies where the company processes Styrofoam buoys — a main culprit of marine wastes — on each spot by using a movable waste Styrofoam baler (Patent No. 10-0618317).

Ballast Water Treatment System

[INQ. NO. 2201M08] TECHCROSS Inc., which was established in the KIST venture complex in 2002, started the land wastewater treatment business after developing a disinfection system using self-developed electrolysis technology.
Since then, the IMO enacted the Ballast Water Management Convention (BWM Convention) in 2004 to prevent destruction of the marine environment by harmful microorganisms in ballast water. TECHCROSS Inc. thus developed the ballast water treatment system by grafting the existing electrolysis technology to ballast water and obtained a basic approval for it in 2006 for the first time in the world.

TECHCROSS Inc. has been setting records such as succeeding in the installation of an explosion-proof product for the first time in the world, and of developing the VLCC product for the first time in the industry, and conquering the global market with excellent product performance and installation know-how. It obtained a type approval from USCG in June 2018, the first in Korea which is expected to become a new solution for the continuing long-term recession in the marine equipment industry.
ECS (Electro-CleenTM System), the ballast water treatment system developed by TECHCROSS Inc., treats microorganisms in ballast water using the electrolysis principle. In other words, it electrically sterilizes seawater directly at the same time it flows into a ship and passes through an electrolysis chamber. At this time, as seawater passes between electrodes in the chamber, it is disinfected by three different disinfection methods, disinfection by a potential difference, disinfection by radicals generated momentarily by an electrochemical reaction and chlorine contents, generated at the time of electrolysis, remaining in the ballast water tank and blocking regeneration of microorganisms. Through these, disinfection can be done more perfectly.
