Centrifugal Water Chiller

The R-1233zd, an HFO refrigerant, is a highly environmentally friendly with a global warming potential (GWP) of about 7, which is lower than R-134a with GWP value of 1300. In particular, the impeller and diffuser are optimally designed through its 3-dimensional shape design and structural analysis.
In addition, the efficiency is maximized by adopting optimal refrigerant level control by saving energy by 8 to 10% through high-efficiency 2-stage compression method applying a high-efficiency refrigerant cycle and economizer of the 2-stage expansion type.
The oil groove for the impeller and the efficiency of the compressor have been improved by applying the optimal number of revolutions, and by adopting the ultra-precise aluminum alloy impeller with ideal three-dimensional geometry in fluid mechanics, which was examined through the structure and flow analysis. It has also adopted an ideal flow structure through analysis of CFD flow for the flow path combined with each component forming the refrigerant flow path such as impeller, diffuser, diswaller, and casing.
Equipped with the two-stage compression method using Economizer, as much as 6 to 8% energy is saved compared to the 1st cycle. In addition, high-efficiency closed cycle shroud impeller has been applied to realize a high-efficiency cycle and system optimization by applying the sub-cooling system and precise control of expansion valve in consideration of partial load characteristics.
By adopting the energy-saving type, the latest high-performance heat pipes, and motors, this high-efficiency water chiller can reduce operating costs by about 30% and the standard efficiency type can save about 20%, compared with the conventional R-123 turbo chiller.
Through efficient interlocking control with the inlet guide vane, movable diffuser, and hot gas bypass, it can be operated continuously from 10% to 100%, thus prolonging the life of the chiller.
